State bar
The state bar at the top of the main window displays information about the current directory. You can see the number of the selected files out of all files and the number of selected directories out of all directories. If some files or directories are hidden because of some filters, the number of hidden entries is shown in parentheses. Finally, the size of the selected files and directories is shown next to the total size of all files.
Sometimes the state bar is also used to display messages to the user. For example when executing an external program, Worker prints a message saying that Worker waits for the program to finish and how to continue in case the user doesn't want to wait for the program.
You can also right-click on the state bar to open a menu that can be used to access the following commands:
- About Worker
- Worker Configuration
- Save Worker state
This entry will save the current state of some internal settings. This includes the size of the window, the current view modes and their corresponding settings like sort mode, filters. Usually these settings will be saved when quitting Worker but this behavior can be disabled in the "general settings" section in the configuration. - Quit Worker
The same menu may also be opened without using the mouse by starting the command "Open Worker menu".
